Coteccons Makes Its Mark on Public Infrastructure Projects, Driving the Development of Vung Tau Tourism

Ho Chi Minh City, December 19, 2025 – After more than a year of construction, the “Thuy Van Coastal Road Beautification Project, Vung Tau City” – “the face” of Bai Sau Beach – with a total public investment of over VND 1,068 billion, has been officially inaugurated. This large-scale coastal infrastructure project carries strong symbolic significance in developing public spaces, enhancing quality of life, and promoting sustainable tourism.

Amid the national drive to develop modern infrastructure, Coteccons (HOSE: CTD) has left a notable mark by undertaking Package No. 12, valued at VND 485 billion, comprising two key components: the renovation and upgrading of technical infrastructure along 3.2 kilometers of Thuy Van Road, and the construction of Thuy Van Park covering an area of approximately 19.21 hectares. The project’s completion ahead of major holidays such as Christmas, New Year, and Lunar New Year plays an important role in attracting tourists and stimulating the marine-based economy of Ho Chi Minh City.

The Ministry of Construction has announced the commencement and inauguration of 234 key projects nationwide, with a combined investment value exceeding VND 3.4 quadrillion, spanning infrastructure, transportation, urban renewal, and public space development. These projects highlight the strong acceleration of public investment across the country, serving as a critical driver of socio-economic growth. In this context, Coteccons views its participation in infrastructure and public investment projects not only as a business opportunity but also as a national responsibility, reaffirming its commitment to contributing to a modern, sustainable infrastructure system for a green and prosperous Vietnam.

The “Thuy Van Coastal Road Beautification Project” consists of two main components: the renovation and upgrading of technical infrastructure along the 3.2-kilometer Thuy Van Road, and the construction of Thuy Van Park over an area of approximately 19.21 hectares. The park development is divided into two zones: the renovation of certain sections within Bai Sau Park (2.15 hectares), from Phan Chu Trinh Street to the existing Tourist Support and Management Center opposite La Van Cau Street; and the construction of an entirely new coastal park (17.06 hectares) stretching from San Ho Xanh Resort to Nguyen An Ninh Street.

Within the overall scope, Package No. 12 undertaken by Coteccons includes two major components: (1) Renovation and upgrading of the technical infrastructure along the 3.2-kilometer Thuy Van Road; and (2) Construction of Thuy Van Park covering approximately 19.21 hectares, completed in April 2025.

Beyond infrastructure enhancement, the project reflects a clear orientation toward developing a green, smart, and tourist-friendly urban environment

Mr. Vo Hoang Lam, Deputy CEO of Coteccons, shared: “The Thuy Van Coastal Road Beautification Project is a particularly important landscape infrastructure project, not only in terms of coastal urban renewal but also due to its stringent requirements for construction organization, quality, schedule, and safety, especially as it was implemented while ensuring the city’s daily activities and tourism operations”.

Within the project, the components executed by Coteccons play a pivotal role in shaping a modern and integrated coastal public space, including Public Service Station No. 2 (Mussel), Public Service Station No. 3 (Sea Snail), and the Artistic Canopy Structures. These facilities adopt Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) technology in both design and construction. Unlike traditional concrete that relies on sand, stone, and gravel aggregates, GFRC significantly reduces environmental impacts associated with natural material extraction, while offering superior mechanical properties. Its lightweight nature enables complex and refined architectural forms that would be difficult to achieve with conventional concrete.

Based on phased design approvals and site handovers, Coteccons applied a rolling construction approach, implementing multiple work packages in parallel to optimize resources and strictly control project timelines. At peak periods, nearly 1,400 engineers and workers, along with modern machinery and equipment, were mobilized, operating in three continuous shifts across key areas to ensure overall progress and construction quality.

This approach clearly demonstrates Coteccons’ strengths in project governance, quality assurance, schedule control, and safe, synchronized construction execution—critical capabilities for complex public infrastructure projects with high technical, safety, and time requirements.

In addition to the Thuy Van Coastal Road Beautification Project in Vung Tau, Coteccons is currently delivering several large-scale infrastructure projects nationwide, notably the APEC Phu Quoc Complex, Phu Quoc International Airport expansion serving APEC 2027, as well as key works at Long Thanh International Airport and Gia Binh International Airport. These projects reaffirm Coteccons’ growing position as a trusted contractor, ready to participate in national key projects in Vietnam’s next development phase, contributing to the country’s new era of growth.
